5 Ways to Immediately Attract (and keep) Good Energy

You are entirely composed of energy. Your mind, body, spirit, soul are made of energy. What and how you feel will often radiate into your life and manifest itself. If you’re feeling stuck, negative, sluggish, anxious, or even downright depressed, it may be due to some stagnant or negative energy in your field. The good news is that you can realign, cleanse, and raise your energy by following these simple, daily steps.

 

Start each day with a positive mindset. Althought it might seem easier said than done, this is really a great way to begin your day and remain in a good mood. Morning affirmations can help influence your thinking and raise awareness of your thoughts. Affirmations can be said while still in bed, while putting on makeup or brushing your teeth. These can sound like, “I am strong in mind, body and spirit. Amazing opportunities exist for me in every aspect of my life. I love myself. Today I am in control”. You can say it in your head or scream it at the top of your lungs. Just be consistant in doing this daily. You will start believing what you tell yourself. 

 

Be aware of, and control your thoughts. When fear, self-destruction, and criticism try to cloud your mind, check the thought at the door. It is natural to have these feelings, but being aware of them and rejecting them is what gives you power. Refocus your mind to the present and do the best you can, where you are. Worry and anxiety lower your energy and can have a negative impact on your mental and even physical health. 

 

Give what you want to receive. The universe has a way of feeding you the energy that you give out to the world. It’s critical to put out as much good energy as possible. This can be as simple as smiling at a passer-by, fighting the urge to retaliate when someone has wronged you, or dishing out a well-deserved compliment to a friend or even a stranger. Work hard, do good things, avoid negativity, and refocus your energy on the good things in your world. 

 

Say NO to negative people and bad energy. Sometimes the energy of a toxic friendship or relationship is what lowers our energy. Take a second to think about the relationships in your life: do any of them drain you mentally or emotionally? Relationships should be a source of support and love. If you have relationships that leave you feeling exhausted or unhappy, unapologetically end them. 

 

Be Still. Take a few moments in every day to reflect and heal. We experience so much during the day, and if we don’t step back and process what happened, we may end up internalizing a lot of negativity, guilt, and hurt. All of which will clog your energy. Take some time in the evenings to unpack your day. Sort through your feelings. Make an effort to forgive, or possibly hand out an apology that you owe. Cleaning your emotional and mental space makes it easier to start a new, positive day.
